The Adult Practical Nursing program at the Capital Region BOCES Career & Technical School, Albany campus, prepares a competent and effective graduate nurse to safely practice nursing within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act. Program graduates are prepared to take the National Council Licensure Examination and apply for state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Full-time program:

part-time program: Length: Nov.-June (18 months)
Hours: 1st four months: Mon-Thurs
3-7 p.m. Next 14 mos.: Mon & Weds 3-7 p.m. and Thurs 3 p.m.-10:30 p.m. or Friday 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Clinical experience: Albany County Nursing Home, Albany Medical Center, Baptist Retirement Center, Ellis Hospital, Guilderland Nursing Home, Dutch Manor Nursing Home.
