The College of Medical Arts (CMA), is a vocational school serving Northern California for students wishing to pursue a career in the health care. CMA currently boasts six campuses and will soon be adding a seventh.

Programs Offered: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) and Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
College of Medical Arts General Admission Requirements: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age (17 with parental consent). Successfully pass a written entrance exam along with health requirements. Further requirements for Vocational Nurse and Home Health Aide applicants – Evidence of current and valid CPR card. Current, valid CNA certification of good standing.
CNA Program: Prepare the applicant for State of California certification for entry-level health care. Training in theory and clinical skills of basic patient care. Program is divided into 16 modules, concentrating on: patient rights, legal issues, communication, documentation, safety and application of basic nursing skills.
HHA Program: prepare the student to specialize in home care of the elderly, disabled, convalescent on long or short-term basis.
RNA Program: his course is designed to prepare applicants for certification specializing in restorative care through theory and clinical application of restorative techniques.
LVN Program: prepares the applicant to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN) for California licensure as a vocational nurse. Clinical skills; direct patient care, assessment, diagnostic measurements, procedures and treatments are emphasized.
