LPN to RN Bridge program is an accelerated RN program option for the LPN who wishes to further their nursing degree. There is an ever-increasing demand for nurses and others in the health science fields.
A_Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) may receive advance placement into the second year of the associate degree nursing program after successful completion of a nursing transition course The Health Sciences track is recommended for admission and consideration for the LPN to RN Bridge Program or other science majors.
The LPN to RN Bridge Program will prepare you to take the NCLEX licensure exam for licensure as an RN. Students achieving an ASN often continue on to receive a bachelor’s (BSN) or master’s (MSN) for more career advancement opportunities. The ASN program will also prepare you to transfer to a four-year institution to further your studies.
Students enrolled in the LPN to RN Bridge Program will have expert clinical experiences at various area hospitals. While a criminal history may not prevent entry into the nursing program, an official criminal history background check will be required of each student after admission. Some of the major providers of clinical experiences for students do not allow students with certain types of criminal history to participate in their facility. This fact may be cause for denial of entry into the program because the student cannot successfully complete significant portions of the program. A criminal history may also prevent the student from being allowed to take the NCLEX examination for licensure
