Do you know that some hospitals offer a “Earn As You Learn” program? They pay for your school, give you a job as a Patient Care Tech, and in return, you agree to work for them for a set period of time after you get your RN.
You_can attend nursing school, work to build a career and earn a salary at the same time. Most area hospitals will offer scholarships and tuition assistance after your first year of nursing school. The Earn As You Learn (EAYL) program will pay for the required nursing classes, books, and board exam fees.
As your skills increase as a Patient Care Tech, the hourly rate will increase as well. If you are a LPN in the LPN transition-nursing program, your hourly rate will be based on the nursing pay for skills model.
Upon successful completion of the nursing program, you agree to fill a full time vacant nursing position on any shift and in any department.
