Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant training program with clinical specialty certification, CCMA – C or CCMA – AC. Certification in pulmonary function testing and adiometry required.
Minimum of two years experience in an industrial medicine setting, hospital based occupational health, emergency department or outpatient care hospital.
Knowledge/Essential Skills Required:
· Basic Anatomy and physiology.
· Must be a Certified Medical Assistant, CCMA – C or CCMA – AC, (clinical specialty or clinical and administrative specialties) with all of the skills required for that certification.
· Medical terminology and abbreviations.
· Medication administration.

Provides school health services as directed by the School Nurse to the student population serviced. Assists and supports the School Nurse with special needs children, performs documentation and student record keeping activities, and maintains correspondence with parents/guardians, school officials, and allied professionals. Appropriately trained in First Aid and CPR. Familiar with State and Federal school health guidelines.
