LPN_Program Process

1. Complete and return Licensed Practical Nursing application. (Applicants must be a high school graduate, or hold a GED.)

2. Once a completed application is on file an applicant will be notified of the next available entrance exam date.

3. The Admissions Committee will review applications, qualifications, exam evaluations, and transcripts.

4. Applicants will be notified of the Admission Committees decision by mail.

LPN Program Requirements

• Pass each grading area with a minimum of 75%.
• Pass all clinical components.
• Complete a minimum of 1,000 hours of instruction.
• Current CPR Certification.

Central Tech Practical Nurse Program: The mission of the Central Tech Practical Nurse Program is to enhance current and future health care within our community by educating and preparing students to practice as competent, compassionate, ethical and professional Licensed Practical Nurses.

The Practical Nursing Program consists of 1200 hours of classroom instruction and clinical experience at local hospitals, long-term care facilities, and other health-related agencies. The program will qualify you to take the New York State Licensing Exam. Financial aid is available for qualified applicants.The Elmira Bush Campus and Coopers Plains Education Center both offer 10-month, full-time day programs.
